Robot in 3 Days Scrimmage:
Tuesday afternoon, September 15
LOAD Robotics is hosting a RI3D scrimmage at our workshop in Chesapeake City, Maryland. After Kickoff on September 12, build your robot, and on the 15th come to our workshop for a competition! This will be a chance to test our robots on a competition field and work through the game rules with other teams. We are hoping to run matches and collaborate with teams to brainstorm and test their ideas

Robot in Three Days (Ri3D) is a challenge for FTC teams to design and build a robot based on this season's game, starting immediately after the FIRST Tech Challenge Kickoff on September 12th at noon. Teams challenge themselves to design, build and program a functional robot in approximately 72 hours.
The purpose of Ri3D is not to build the best robot of the season, but to inspire teams by showing that a competitive robot can be created quickly through strategic design, effective collaboration, and smart engineering decisions.
Throughout the challenge, Ri3D teams often livestream their progress, publish CAD models, programming examples, design discussions, and create videos giving FTC teams around the world ideas they can adapt to their own robots.
Ri3D allows teams participating to expirience the Engeneering Design Process in a short time, while gaining insperation throughout brainstorming for their robot in the season to follow.
While every team's final robot is unique, Ri3D provides a valuable starting point for creative problem-solving and collaboration within the FIRST community.
